To reduce risk of fire and to properly exhaust air, be sure to duct the air outside. You should never exhaust air into spaces within walls, ceilings, attics, crawl spaces or garages. The humidity and grease collect in the space creating a fire hazard. -- If an outside duct is not available, this hood can be installed for recirculation, in which the rangehood vents back into the room (after filtration). For more information on recirculating installation, check out the Installation Instructions starting on page 9 of the Owner’s Manual, which can be viewed at the bottom of the Features tab on the product page of the Best Buy website.
