“If I buy this does it have to stack on something or do I need to buy a base to hold it”

Capacity Stationary Washer GNW128SSMWW or GE® Space-Saving 2.8 cu. ft. Capacity Portable Washer GNW128PSMWW. Optional Stacking Kit DSDR24F is sold separately. We also offer GE Spacemaker® 120V 3.6 cu. ft. Capacity Portable Electric Dryer DSKP333ECWW with top controls. This is a stand alone unit. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sue
