Hi Laura- This is Sue at GE Appliances. We are happy to provide assistance. To add items after the washer cycle has started, press Pause if the lid is locked. Pressing Pause will unlock the lid (if locked at that time), pause the cycle and the Pause indicator light will blink. To continue the cycle, press Start again. If machine is paused more than 24 hours, the cycle will be cancelled. Thanks for checking with us!
