I always put the detergent in after loading the clothes, it works just fine. The clothes come out very clean.

We recommend that you check with your detergent manufacturer prior to pouring the detergent directly on your clothing to make certain the detergent will not discolor your clothing. By pouring the detergent in the bottom of the tub, it can dissolve easier and is less likely to discolor your clothing. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I wondered about putting the detergent under the clothes. I've done that only once, after several washes to see if it suds up more. It didn't make a difference. I put the detergent on top of the clothes, and yes, not much sudsing with this machine. As long as the clothes are clean and smell clean, I'm good with that.

I have a stick and I am stirring it up, until it makes suds. I add the clothes after is at least half full with water. Liquid detergent is dissolving better. Also, I am using warm or hot water while I am stirring it, then I turn it to the desired setting and let it fill.
