Anything is possible with some creativity. You need to mentally think how you will secure the unit from falling out of the window. What will you use to come down on to the top of the unit to hold it in place? Some styrofoam or plastic sheets will not do it. You're going to need a good piece of 1/4" - 1/2" plywood or similar/better to secure the AC in place filling the space between the top of the unit and the top track of your side sliding window.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No and that was an issue since the salesperson was adamant that it was possible to do so. The installer sent by best buy saw the unit & the window and immediately said "no way".
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I really can't answer your question but back in July I bought this GE model for my tv room and it worked great! So when my bedroom AC broke down I got the exact same model! I'm 75 and not real knowledgeable! Sorry!
