Hi there, and thanks for reaching out. We appreciate the time you took to contact us, though we hate to hear you've had an issue with auto evaporation and having to empty the drain. We know that must be concerning. Unfortunately, there is no way to check the auto evaporation function. While the unit is meant to evaporate in this way, if the level of humidity is higher than usual you may still need to empty the water tank, especially if humidity has been high for several days in a row.
