Hi there, and thanks for reaching out to us about this washer. We appreciate your interest! While this unit is not considered high efficiency, it is nonetheless efficient to conform to the standards set by the Department of Energy and uses only 184 kWh annually. The washer features 4.2 cubic feet of capacity, and should be able to accommodate your comforter if it fits that amount of space. Most comforters will wash well in our washers as long as the item fits below the balance ring and isn't stuffed in tightly. This model does also have both a bleach dispenser (in the front left corner) and a fabric softener dispenser (in the center of the agitator).
