“Can the machine run the spin cycle independently, to spin hand washed clothes?”

• I've never tried this, but it doesn't seem possible since you have to start the wash cycle to begin operation.

• Hi - Good question! This models offers a Drain&Spin cycle. When using the Drain&Spin cycle, it is not unusual for the washer to add a small amount of water to balance the load and then it will automatically go thru a drain cycle and spin the load. Be sure when using this cycle that you do not have the Deep Rinse or 2nd Rinse option selected as well. We hope you choose this great GE model washer for your home. Vikki@GEA
