Hello, Thank you so much for this question. The length of the exhaust hose is 5 feet long. If using this unit as an air conditioner, it must be vented to the outside. Failing to do so may cause the unit to overheat and it will not cool properly. The vent can be a dryer vent or similar, as long as the opening has a 5” diameter. We hope this is helpful. Mike@GEA
