Hi DbinROC - Thanks for viewing GE Model # APCA14YZBW! Auto Evaporation Technology on this model evaporates the water under most room conditions with no bucket to empty. There is a water plug/drain cap. The Water Full indicator (“FL” on the control panel display) illuminates when the internal water tank has filled with condensed water. Place a shallow 1 quart or larger pan (not included) below the lower drain located on the back (near the bottom) of the air conditioner. It does not have a hose connection. We suggest viewing page 8 of the Use and Care Manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-5000439-1.pdf - If you have any additional questions, do not hesitate to ask, we are also happy to help at GEAppliances.com! Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can drain into a bucket. Don't think you will need to though. I have been running this unit for a month now on cool & it has not needed drained yet. Here in Michigan we have had 3 weeks plus of 90+ degree days, some days of high humidity & no draining needed. It's not a de-humidifier.
