Hi Eduardo, I'm glad you raised this over to us. Yes, you will need WIFI to get the camera to function. The camera cannot record if it is not connected to WIFI, and videos are encrypted so recorded videos can be viewed in the playback in the Geeni app on the phone only. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you need wifi to access any video. We've also had problems with the recording on these, with no assistance from Geeni. We're now considering purchasing more expensive cameras that actually work. These worked for us for a couple months with no issues. Then, trying to pull recorded video, we discovered there was none as there were issues with the memory card, and when we replaced it, the same thing happened again.
