- Answer Pre-installed ram used the Gen4 slot. The unused slot supports up to Gen3. You may Google the speed limit but as far as I know, Gen5 is 2x speed of Gen4, while Gen4 is around 2x speed of Gen3. These are max speeds though, so the actual speed difference depends on brands and models.

QuestionDid they finally fix the speakers in this model? Returned a previous Gigabyte G5 laptop solely because the speakers were the worst I have ever heard, worse than the iphone 3G I had.

- Answer Yes it can. I immediately put windows 10 on mine when I got it and only had to install like one or two drivers. Everything is working perfectly fine.
