You will need an additional CCA, the original chromecast cannot be grouped with the audio version. However the # of audio versions grouped together appears to be limitless.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I went ahead and purchased it.... Nope... You can only group "Chromecast Audio" receivers ... No worries.. I'll purchase a second one and just plug it into my sound bar aux port... That will save having to have the TV on as well....

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nope, you can't group Chromecast and Chromecast audio. In fact you cant group Chromecast's together. Only Audio casts Having said that, I did get it to work, kinda. Started web based chromecast on laptop, and then started audio on tablet. paused the one ahead of broadcast until they synced. Used audio cast only, but it worked.
