Chrome cast has no UI for navigation. It simply lets you stream content from various supported apps. So in your case it seems that you would want to cast you google chrome browser and view your content on your TV, which is simple all you have to do is download Chrome to your Computer or mobile device and you will see an option to Cast to your TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I downloaded the Chrome browser to my MacBook Pro and the device worked perfectly to stream content from the Chrome browser to my tv. I may be wrong, but I don't believe there's support for any browser other than Chrome, though, it works with Pandora, Youtube, Facebook and I'm sure there's more.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can "cast" a web browser tab from your Mac or other laptop/desktop after installing the "Google Cast" extension into the Chrome browser. (You can also "cast" anything on your Android screen including the browser in recent versions of the Android OS.) The big screen will show the web contents while you navigate from the Mac. There are two ways to do it on a YouTube web page. Using the "cast" icon within the YouTube player will produce smoother results than casting the entire web page.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You cannot navigate Google as if you were using an internet browser. You can only use supported apps such as Netflix and Hulu. However, you can stream your internet browser from your computer to the chromecast OR you can stream your phones screen (including internet browsing) to the chromecast if it's a supported android device.
