If you are running Android Lollipop, you can cast anything on your phone to your TV. So it's up to your version of Android. If you have lollipop, you can just swipe down twice from the top of the screen and choose "Cast".

No. It is terrible. We used it for one day and got rid of it; switched to Apple Tv instead and are very happy!
