The Chromecast isn't used to provide any media. It simply sends content from your internet browser to your TV. If a bowl games is available via WatchESPN or some other source, it could be watched on your TV with the Chromecast.

If the application you are using to watch the games doesn't give you the option to Cast it to the TV, download Mirror Cast application from the app store or Google Playstore. Once you do that turn on mirror cast and ChromeCast will detect it and show your phone or computer screen on TV. So whatever appears on the phone/computer will show on the TV this allowing you to watch the bowl games on the big screen. Hope this helps and enjoy.
