Google Fi is the best way to go
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The correct answer is "it depends". Those issues are carrier-based as to what each carrier will allow or can provide. If you are trying to stay with Google Fi then I recommend you simply click on your Google fi app icon as it will have a support page built into that icon. Due to Wi-Fi calling capabilities Google fi only supports certain phones. They do have a tool to check which new phone purchase is compatible with their Network. Again reaching out to Google Fi is the best thing.
