Sure thing ... to get access to the device the easiest way is to perform a factory reset on the device. To do this you'll want to press and hold the Nest button. While holding the button Nest will chime and glow blue. Continue holding the button until Nest Protect speaks its version number, then release the button. Nest Protect will start a verbal countdown and tell you it’s erasing all settings, after a few seconds it will restart. (You can cancel this process by pressing the Nest Button at any time during the countdown.) Once that is complete, you'll go ahead and set it up fresh using the Nest app on your mobile device. You will need to be able to scan the QR code on the bottom of the device to perform the setup, so be prepared to remove the Nest from the ceiling briefly for that process. Hope that helps!
