I want to use it like thermostat cover to protect my house temperature on the need ,and so any body can’t up or down the temperature .is this works for me null

Yes, can adjust with the app downloaded on your cell phone. The thermostat can sense when you’re close to it and automatically turns on or lowers. Love the app on my cell. Just glance at app if someone turns temp too high or low on thermostat owner check app on cell and can be lowered or raise at will. I love it.

No, it mounts to the wall to cover your electrical box/hole then the nest is attached to it. The trim piece will not stop someone from changing the temperature.

This plate goes between wall and thermostat. It will not prohibit a person from changing temperature.

The trim kit is only to cover any potential holes that may have been left behind from your old thermostat. It is not a physical cover that you place over the Nest thermostat.
