The pixel 8 runs on an android platform. Though it is compatible in one way or another it is not an apple. Meaning it should be compatible with you hearing aids, you won't stream calls through face time you would need a separate app (probably facebook messenger), and the Google AI is pretty good at completing most basic tasks for hands free though you may want to turn on the on body detection to keep an extended unlock on your phone if you decide to password your device.
