I used the trade-in savings and it was refunded to my payment method(credit card) but I think you can choose store credit as an option.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hey Rohit, When you trade in a device at Best Buy you will receive the trade-in value as a reduced price. This is different from the Google Store, where you would receive the trade-in value as store credit. I got mine online so after they receive the device I traded in they will credit back my card, I confirmed it with a costumer support agent. I hope this info helps!

When you do a trade-in to take advantage of the extra trade-in credit, they'll charge your card for the full retail cost of the phone, but once you return your old phone, they'll credit you the trade-in credit to your original payment method.

Or if you simply want to trade in the phone at Best Buy, they will give you a gift card right at the store, however the gift card will have a lesser value than the credit trade in.
