“If the unlocked phone you buy from Best Buy has issues or stops working for whatever reason, your cell phone carrier( ex:Verizon, T-Mobile,AT&T etc) doesn't want to help you with it because you bought it at an outside store, right? What about insurance?”

My cell phone company US Cellular actually helped me to get my text messages to be received by my phone. The representatives spent a significant amount of time trying to diagnose the problem, And eventually it only needed the sim card to be removed and reinserted to correct the problem. I also buy unlocked phones from places like Best Buy and put a good case on it and a screen protector. Don't bother to give a cell phone carrier a significant amount of money for insurance. Save yourself even more money than buying your phone from your carrier and being locked into their plans!
