Yes the whole unit gets hot on the outside
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I always unplug the oven, let it cool completely, then use a mild dish soap or even baking soda paste to clean as needed;the drip pan slides out and can be soaked if needed. The oven does get very hot so I would probably move it out from under the cabinet just to be safe. Mine sits on an open steel shelf unit with plenty of space for ventilation .It's a nice oven and holds 2 9x5 in. loaf pans side by side for gorgeous fruit breads! It's easy to use and clean.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't spilled anything in it, so I haven't had to clean it. It looks like it would be easy. The top does get quite hot. Not hot enough to harm the cabinetry. The oven stands 13.25" tall and I have 3.25" of clearance. The top of the oven gets hot but the cabinet has never been warm. I will say that when baking I reduce the heat by 25 degrees and I would never bake on both racks at the same time but that's the case with all these ovens. I bought this one to replace one that lasted 25 years and so far I love it, especially that you can use either bake or convection.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've had the oven a few months and have used it frequently and it hasn't required a cleaning as of yet. I did cook a pizza and had some cheese drip off which fell on the bottom removable tray and it was very easily to clean. Haven't used the rotisserie yet. Depending on the temperature you have it set at, the top does get hot. I had a graze box on top with punnets in it and it melted the plastic containers somewhat. So now I remove anything directly on top before turning it on.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is very easy to keep clean, all the pieces (racks and trays) are dishwasher safe, everything else gets wiped down easily. I keep mine in a very similar place in my kitchen, it does get hot, however I haven't had any issues.
