I personally set it to low and a desired temp and it turns on & off periodically which pretty much maintains the desired temperature. I use it at night, and I am sometimes super warm in the morning, but it could just be because I've been sleeping under a heavy blanket. I've remedied this by adjusting the timer so it turns off after a few hours. I hope this helps. I don't really pay much attention to it unless I get hot/cold.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The thermostat should work on the high or low setting. The only difference between high and low should be the fan speed. Whatever you have the thermostat set for, that is the temperature that the unit will reach regardless of high or low. High setting will just get you there faster.
