Heater is not hot to the touch. I have a large dog and 4 kids, it will automatically shut off if tipped over.

I’m not sure what wires inside the heater you’re referring to, but this heater has an excellent safety feature at the bottom. It has infrared detectors which turn off the heater completely if something gets too close to it. I have seen it in action when one of my cats got to close to it and when I accidentally pushed a box too close to the heater. The sensors turned off the heater

Its safe. I have a toddler, infant, dog, & cat. My other heater is a dyson, but I really didn't want to spend another $400 on a 2nd heater, so I got this one. There are no exposed wires/coils; the vent slats are too small to stick even an infant finger between; and it has an auto-shut-off when bumped that is sensitive enough that it turns off every 5 seconds when my kids are playing around it (no such issues with my cat & dog though...they ignore it.)

There should be no problem with the cats. The worst they can probably do is knock it over but the unit is designed to shut off if that happens.

I believe it is baby safe then it is definitely fur baby safe. Also if it isn't flat on the ground it automatically turns it off so if the knock it over you don't have to worry.
