Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello rnroll! Thank you for reaching out to us. Yes, the Honeywell T9 Smart Programmable Wi-Fi Thermostat has an adjustable inactive back-light setting. This thermostat also has a programmable time-based inactive backlight sleep schedule. Hope this helps! - Jerry
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can adjust the "Inactive Back-light" and Inactive Sleep Back-light" by percentages. If you set it to 0% it will turnoff the back-light. It is a nice feature, much nicer having the unit screen lit dimly when not in use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does dim to 0% if configured after 20 seconds or so of inactivity. The problem is that while it’s on, in a dark room, it’s bright as a phone on max brightness. It doesn’t adjust to the appropriate brightness level or give you any way to turn off the bright screen early. It is incredibly annoying when you just want to turn down/up the temp at night
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does have a dimming setting and I’m pretty sure it’ll go dark
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. At least my 9320 does. You can tune it to various levels, including off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it does dim but not enough for a bedroom in my opinion. Definitely better for a hallway or another room where people do not sleep.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The screen dims down. It will not black out.
