“we have a all electric new home heat pump and aux electric furnace. can this be set to bypass heat elements so heat pump does most of the heating . Or set heat elements on a delay so don't kick on right away thankx”

Hi Steve, thank you for your question. The T9 thermostat will automatically switch to your second stage of heat if the heat pump cannot keep up with the set temperature. If you are looking for a thermostat with more advanced configuration options we can recommend you contacting your HVAC contractor to install and configure the T10 thermostat. - Maria
