Make sure you didn't screw the top to tight it needs air .the chemicals and water makes the tank expand. Open and let some air screw top back on not to tight

I am 80 and have two messy kitties, so bought this hoping it would be light enough to at least clean up spots. I wound up cleaning my two bedrooms and living room carpets and they looked brand new! Even tried it on the vinyl flooring & it came out clean. Ok, did one room at a time, but was so pleased with the results. It is light enough for me to use, but powerful enough to do the job. And I live in a small condo, so it doesn't take up too much room to store. Grammi advice: Return the defective one & try again!
