“I just purchased this laptop and I noticed at a competitor store selling a similar HP that theirs had Windows 10. Home. Does this laptop have it , what is it needed for? I will be using this laptop for email, downloading pictures, writing letters etc”

• Mine came with Windows 10. Windows 10 is the operating system - the way the whole system works. Most modern computers come with Windows 10. (There's also Mac, Linux, and some others.) This laptop will do pretty much everything you listed.
