Thank you for your question! The reason for different answers is that several months ago, prior to the release of Windows 11, this model came with Windows 10 in S Mode. Currently, according to both Best Buy and HP specs, this model comes with Windows 11 Home in S Mode. You can permanently remove S Mode to have Windows 11 Home or upgrade to Windows 11 Pro. If the model you receive is indeed pre-installed with Windows 11 as stated in the specs, you would not be able to downgrade to Windows 10.
