• It is a good picture, but no better than the Viewsonic I have next to it.

• Unless you are going to stand up while gaming, lean back a few feet or sit 45 degrees off angle you won't really see any benefit from IPS in games and most movies.

• I'm finding that it's easy to calibrate the monitor and the images look good. More importantly, from what I can tell, it's more accurate as well.

• Yes - picture is a nice improvement over TN monitors.

• IPS panel is the best you can get in the monitor department. IPS allows for: Extremely high viewing angles, near perfect color accuracy and uniformity across the screen, near perfect gamma, near perfect contrast ratio.
