I had the photosmart 7520 and print head broken..to buy that part is almost as much as getting the new printer.
I jujst bought the Envy 7155 and it only tales 2 cartridges..black and the colors.
Will it print as well as the old 7520.? Sales said it is very good. Reg blk print docs and color photos?

Only if you have printer that uses th hp 64 cartridges. My photo printer just takes 2 cartridges, the color and the black.

My all in one has the one 64 that prints both photo and paper. Have never had a printer that needed two different black cartridges for a HP All in one printer. I have the HP ENVY 7155.

The black cartridge will print color photos, but you are missing out on all of the colors available. The photo cartridge supplies black ink as well as additional colors

there was only on black cartridge in this package that does print and photos and the color package had three colored cartridges but not a black photo cartridge. however the photos came out just fine with this combination.

There's only 2 cartridges in the one I have (HP Envy Photo 7855). Tri color and Black. Same numbers but you have to look to see which is which when buying and installing. I don't know what printer you have, unless it's assumed you have the same as I. So you'd get Tri Color 64 or Tri Color 64XL, and the Black which would be 64 Black or 64 BlackXL. I'd need more info on the printer you have to really answer this, and why there's 2 black cartridges.

Yes - Photo Black and Regular Black are in the same cartridge called BLACK
