“Can I put a tricolor cartridge in the black slot and will the printer still print black?”

• No it won’t. I tried it cos my printer won’t print without a cartridge in each side but it still wouldn’t print until I put a new black cartridge in the slot.

• No, it won't. Putting the tri-color cartridge in the black slot will make the printer bring up an error message. And the tri-color cartridge can't create a true black.
