“It states this HP model uses a passive stylus under specs on this unit. But you have recommend an active stylus in a previous comments. (Hp Pen or Hp tilt pin). Does this model of the HP Envy use the active or passive stylus system.”

This unit is capable of using an Active Pen with N-trig. While you can use a Passive stylus with the touchscreen, an Active Pen with N-trig would allow you take advantage of the Windows Ink features which this unit is capable of doing.
