• As long your printer is eligeble for this program you can set it up whenever you want. It is not necessary to buy a new printer to participate.

• Yes you can. I owned my printer for a couple of years and it was no problem. I would recommend you do it BEFORE you need ink. I waited until I was almost out and ended up running out, no fault of HP's.
