• You do not need a computer. I am using it with a tablet. Be aware that some apps do not work with android printing. Sometimes I have to use the chrome share option in order to access the HP print service plugin that comes with the printer.

• Good question. You do not need a computer to connect the printer to WiFi. This printer has a touch screen where you can navigate to different menus. There is a wireless menu where you will be able to connect the printer to your WiFi. I hope this helps.
