- Answer Thank you for reaching out. You do not even have to use your hotspot as this printer can put out its own Wireless network, kind of like a wifi hotspot but without the internet! You can use it for printing.

- Answer The 4650 would probably suit your needs. I don't print pictures either and I like it just fine for printing.

- Answer The side guides slide in to hold the envelopes in place while printing. This printer does a great job with envelopes until you get down to the last 2 in the feeder. Just add more...not a big deal at all.

- Answer Yes To all 3 questions. It works with windows 7 8 and 8.1 and 10. Printing with Android is easy just make Sure to be on the same Wi-Fi as printer. Also the tablet should not be a issue. Enjoy

- Answer You may have the print quality settings set on draft to consume less ink. The settings normally can be found on the print preview page before actual printing occurs.

- Answer Yes. My laptop doesnt have a disc drive either. You download the software from their website. Just a word to the wise, if you do get this printer, sign up for HP's monthly subscription service where you get ink every month. HP Instant Ink. Total money saver.

- Answer I found it pretty easy to setup but I did run into a snag with the wireless wifi stuff. So I just plugged in my standard printer cable from printer to computer. hope this helps.

- Answer I would not use this for printing photos,if that's what type of work your going to be using a printer for. The Envy 7640 is a better bet, a little pricier than this model, but it has the dedicated features for photo printing that won't be found on a basic all in one,while at the same time offering the all in one options as well....hope this helps.
