We do not recommend the use of remanufactured ink due to the risk of print inconsistencies or damage due to poor quality.

I did use the re-manufactured ink on my old HP Office Jet Pro and they work fine on that one. I think the specs on this one stated that non HP ink may not work because they do not have the HP Chip. However, like I said, I have not tried on this HP Office Jet Pro 8720.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I get the impression from the way it turns on that it doesn’t, and personally I wouldn’t chance it. Buy the XL size ink it lasts quite a while. If you go through ink too quickly then maybe consider a laser printer. Toners can do over 1000 copies each. But for this printer the ink does seem to last if it’s the XL size.
