• I haven't noticed anything loud when this printer is printing. I've had other HP printers in the past and this is quiet compared to them.

• I have been using the HP Officejet Pro-8720 and all is doing well, as for noise, not much different than my last HP or my Epson. I am not complaining about it, works just fine.

• This is not a quiet printer but I guess I am use to my old HP printer and did not find this annoying. This certainly will wake people up in the middle of the night but I am not planning printing at those hours.
