This problem continues. It’s HP’s way of forcing you to buy more supplies, but other manufacturers do this as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is an end of warranty date, which is typically two years after manufacture. However, you can make infrequently used cartridges last much longer by either turning the printer off with the power button or letting the printer go into sleep mode. Either of those things will cap the printhead so it's not exposed to air, which will greatly extend the life of the cartridges.
