• I mean that’s a downgrade but u could. The motherboard is a cheap one omen certainly do NOT take pride In the motherboard they put in their prebuilts. So it’s not obvious what it is. Further research needed

• The motherboard's code name is "Hana", and the specs for it are at https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_4853259-4853773-16 The PCI Express 4.0 slot will take the RTX 2080 card without any problems.
