“Audio is stereo only? No 5.1 that I can see, no optical out unless one of these ports is a combo? I just brought one home today and doesn’t seem to match the specs here”

Hello. Thanks for your question. According to the specs from HP, you would need to purchase hardware to use the 5.1 surround sound. Some options that you have are to use a surround sound system that leverages the HDMI port. Or you can use an HD Audio header with extra analog jacks to install internally. Another option would to use a system that uses audio from the DisplayPort. You can also use an external audio adapter.
