• no. It has an insert if you have no cover. If you have cover remove insert. I have a cover and it works fine.

• Depends on which cover you have. Many of them need to be removed. We suggest bottomless or open bottom cases for the best docking experience.

• It works best if you take off the case especially if you have a hard case
