• The over 3 feet long cord does have a three prong plug in and is heavy, therefore sticking out about one inch.

• It has a standard 3 prong plug that is about 2 and 1/4 inches deep.( It can easily be unplugged to cut off the light, prop the door open, if you like to occasionally like to let the door stay open to remove any food odors.)
