Just opened box and tried. Everything is fine but I'm concerned it's so noisy. Sounds like a a ship taking off. Is it dangerous my nephew told me not to use it and return it. Neither of my last 2 sounded like this null

There is nothing wrong with it. I think it's due to the size. I have this model and I love it. While it is a little louder than our last one ( also an Insignia just smaller) I needed a family size one. Purchased one for my sister and hers sounds the same. Cooks everything evenly and perfectly.

I have been using these units for a couple pf years, not one has failed me. This is a very rugged machine, but always works well :))
