Can you use this one outside under a covered area null

I wouldn’t. The pipes and condenser, etc. are uncovered and exposed at the back of the unit, and it would be a nice place for critters to settle in. By the looks of it, I’d guess it was intended for indoor use only.

I don't see why not. People have a fridge in their garage, we have a freezer in our garage. Not sure the long-term effect it will have with extreme temperatures during the summer. And of course, if you live up north and if it freezes where you live. We live in Florida so our garage should never freeze, but it sure does get hot.
