“I have a Niles SS-4 speaker selector I'd like to connect, however when you select multiple zones the amp needs to handle 4Ohms. Will this box work to drive 6 speakers or will it overpower it on a single channel?”

Using the Niles SS-4 will work just fine, just connect the Amplifier input of the niles to speaker A on the insignia, and make sure the protection button stays on on the SS-4. Also make sure you keep the polarity the same on both end connections.
