• Check to make sure that none of the speaker wires are touching across terminals...that will trigger the auto-protect and shut it off.

• How many speakers are you wiring? Depending how many speakers you are running, and how loud you are playing it, the receiver might be protecting itself. Check your wires. Make sure you have got clean contacts and wired correctly. Positive to positive. Negative to negative.
