• Check the impedance of the speakers. 8 ohms or above. Good speaker wires.

• Yes, any type of speakers can be used. You'll either need regular speaker wires, or banana plugs. The brand of the speakers don't matter as long as you're not trying to hook up pre amplified speakers, via analog rca analog inputs.
