First question - Yes, you can hook up multiple bluetooth items.  My wife has her Bests earbuds and another set of earbuds set up.
No, you don't have to hae a subscription to Amazon, just an Amazon account.

You can only pair one Bluetooth headset at a time, also none of these apps you can use for free. All apps are subscription based
